What is Growth Hacking?
Growth Hacking is a super wanky term that is being thrown around, but what does it mean and do you need to hire one?
Growth Hacking simply put is a mindset, it’s about acquiring users and growing your business through non-traditional channels and without much, if any media spend.
The growth mindset is about finding leading indicators of success in the simplest, quickest, and most efficient ways possible.
What’s a growth hacking workshop?
The growth workshop teaches a framework by which your team to can identify the most critical areas to focus on and teach them how to prioritise and execute experiments to maximise learning and impact.
Who is this Growth Workshop for?
I’ve been a technical marketer for 18+ years and I’ve been consulting for the past seven years. I see all manner of difficulties, such as monetisation, high churn, weak activation, poor retention, high CAC, low conversions, etc. Any business that derives revenues from a website or app will run into any of these issues. Marketing Channels and tricks come and go. A growth framework ensures your growth will never stagnate, and helps break through plateaus.
What will it Cover?
The workshop will instil a growth “mindset”. It will teach your marketers how to fail or succeed quickly with high-tempo testing. Your team will learn how to:
- Identify your OMTM
- Document your Key KPIs and Drivers
- Create a prioritised backlog of daily or weekly experiments
- Document your experiments
- Identify and Run Minimum Viable Tests
- Conduct weekly growth meetings
Who should Attend?
Growth is a team sport. Growth isn’t the responsibility of a few marketers, it’s everyone’s responsibility. The Founders need to be the growth “north star” setting the direction and agenda for the company. The following people are required to participate and attend:
- Product People
- Technical (anyone who can estimate and speak for development)
Does this Work, Who Else Does this?
I run a 3-month growth programme called the “500 Series A Program” for 500 Startups portfolio companies. This process is the same framework which I utilise in the “500 Programme. Over the past 12-months, I have personally taken over 30 post seed stage companies through this process.
